The one show that I scheduled in was Baskery at Jax Neighborhood Cafe. Went with Ben and Vanita and Byron and had a great time. At 4:15 yesterday, Dave sends an email inviting friends to his backyard SXSW venue, starting at 4:30. I had just finished reading a manuscript for another author who had requested a blurb, supplied said blurb, and was at loose ends, so, being game, I hopped on my bike and went over. I was glad I did. Last night my good friend V dragged me out to see Fitz and the Tantrums at Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop. This is highly out of character for me, as I am so unhip as to be, well, not tragic, but laughable. Still, sometimes you have to get outside of your comfort zone. It was a great show.
