Thanks to Amanda Cawthon for another wonderful meetup at the Pflugerville Community Library. I enjoyed chatting with April Kihlstrom and Jane Myers Perrine and the romance fans who came to visit. I enjoyed talking about the book business with these lovely and seasoned authors who have many books to their name. There was also a guest appearance with Fabio and Ryan Gosling!
Mansfield Park is Jane Austen’s least-popular novel. I recently re-read it, and I think it has this undeserved rap because of one major misconception, that it’s a romance. It’s most emphatically not. And read with that understanding in mind, I had a new appreciation for this work.
