My new office — it’s getting closer

Remember this? We have moved one step closer to the new office space. Here’s how it looked over the weekend, when we finally got started on the floor. We chose laminate after all, since it turned out the hardwoods were too beat up to restore. I was bummed, but it looks fantastic. I’m really pleased. As I write this we have finished the floor. Two articles in the New York Times, and news of a (new to me) portrait of Jane Austen, continue to shed light on the author most recently known as “not as good a writer as V.S. Should parents censor their children’s reading? That’s one of the questions brought up by the storm over the Wall Street Journal opinion piece by Meghan Cox Gurdon on the current fashion in YA lit.
