I saw The Good, The Bad, and The Weird last night at the Alamo with Cryptopolis. This was a Korean film based — obviously — on the The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, but the setting is Manchuria during Japan’s occupation of Korea. We learned they were eastern screech owls because of the owl website that had sound files of their calls. These screech owls have a rippling sort of hoot that is kind of shivery.
