The fine art of procrastination

‘Tis said that there is no apartment cleaner than that of a graduate student whose thesis is due.

I think a writer whose copy edits have to be turned around in slightly over a week could give grad students a run for their money.

So far I’ve cleaned the kitchen to within an inch of its life (granted, the table needed to be cleaned so I can copy edit since there’s no room at my desk, which is in the pantry/laundry room). I’ve done a load of laundry. Now there are no more excuses, if I can just stay out of the living room.

Water glass: check. Instructions: check. Manuscript: check. Pen/pencil: check.

No more excuses. Damn. Check.
